When done right, meetings can be incredibly productive. But for nearly two-thirds of people, they’re “meh”\u00a0at best.<\/p>\n

In a\u00a0recent query of more than 5,000 workers across the tech industry, 38% of people described their meetings as “average,” and 25% described their meetings as either “poor” or “horrible.” Altogether, that means 63% of people are unimpressed by the value and quality of the meetings at their company.<\/p>\n

On the flip side, 28% of people rated their meetings as “good” and another 9% rated their meetings as “great.”<\/p>\n

Executives and HR workers rate their meetings best<\/b><\/p>\n

The most common response across every department was “average” except for in HR and the executive suite.\u00a0Thirty-seven workers in HR rated their meetings “good” and 11% rated their meetings great. Meanwhile, 31% of executives rated their meetings “good” and 20% rated their meetings “great.”<\/p>\n

Men and women rated meetings almost identically<\/b><\/p>\n

Men and women shared nearly the exact same views of the meetings they attend everyday, with “average” as the top response at 38% and 37% respectively.<\/p>\n
