Confidence is lowest among 18 to 25 year olds (54%) and highest among 26 to 30 year olds (62%).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.comparably.com\/guest\/culture\/tech\/all-departments\/127-would-you-feel-confident-asking-your-boss-for-a-raise\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1464\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1464\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.comparably.com\/00000000\/b\/2017\/08\/confidence.jpg\" alt=\"confidence\" width=\"579\" height=\"171\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdn.comparably.com\/00000000\/b\/2017\/08\/confidence-300x89.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cdn.comparably.com\/00000000\/b\/2017\/08\/confidence.jpg 579w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 579px) 85vw, 579px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The data, which comes from the latest reading of an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comparably.com\/guest\/culture\/tech\/all-departments\/127-would-you-feel-confident-asking-your-boss-for-a-raise\">ongoing query<\/a>\u00a0of more than 1,000 workers in tech, shows that asking for a raise is never a comfortable subject for most people.<\/p>\n<p><b>From a department perspective<\/b><\/p>\n<p>People who work in executive roles, business development, product, and operations tend to be most confident in asking for a raise.
