{"id":1500,"date":"2017-09-12T14:00:58","date_gmt":"2017-09-12T14:00:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.comparably.com\/blog\/?p=1500"},"modified":"2017-09-12T14:20:07","modified_gmt":"2017-09-12T14:20:07","slug":"challenged-at-work","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.comparably.com\/blog\/challenged-at-work\/","title":{"rendered":"The Types of People Who Feel Least Challenged at Work"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Workers in administrative roles, legal, and customer support at tech companies report the lowest levels of feeling challenged at work, according to the latest reading of an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comparably.com\/guest\/culture\/tech\/all-departments\/21-are-you-challenged-at-work\">ongoing query<\/a> by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comparably.com\/\">Comparably<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b>Executives, HR at the top<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The results, compiled from the responses of more than 10,000 workers across the industry, show that there are great divides by role.\u00a0Half of all administrative workers and 61% of both legal and customer support workers say they aren&#8217;t challenged by\u00a0their jobs.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.comparably.com\/guest\/culture\/tech\/all-departments\/21-are-you-challenged-at-work\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-1502\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1502\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.comparably.com\/00000000\/b\/2017\/09\/challenged.jpg\" alt=\"challenged\" width=\"686\" height=\"359\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdn.comparably.com\/00000000\/b\/2017\/09\/challenged-300x157.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cdn.comparably.com\/00000000\/b\/2017\/09\/challenged.jpg 686w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Workers in executive roles and human resources reported the highest levels of being challenged by their job. Engineering and product workers were close behind, at 71%.<\/p>\n<p><b>From an age perspective<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The least-challenged workers were those aged 18 to 25 (66%) while the most were aged 51 to 55 (72%).
