From AI to cloud computing to the Internet of Things, the technology sector is hot and its need for fresh talent is only getting hotter. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, computer and information technology jobs<\/a> are expected to grow at an above-average 12% from 2014 to 2024. Developers and computer systems analysts, in particular, are among the 20 occupations projected to create the most new jobs<\/a> overall.<\/p>\n

As more people look to build their careers in tech, Comparably<\/a> took an in-depth look at which positions pay the most at the start. The results come from the anonymous insights of nearly 4,000 employees at small, mid-size, and large public and private tech companies in three of America\u2019s major tech hubs: New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.
