Luckily, just 16%\u00a0percent of workers in tech say they&#8217;ve ever had this experience, according to the latest reading of an\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.comparably.com\/guest\/culture\/tech\/all-department\/131-have-you-ever-had-to-take-a-pay-cut-to-keep-your-job-at-a-company\">ongoing query<\/a>\u00a0by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.comparably.com\/\">Comparably<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><b>It depends on department<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Whether or not a person has ever been asked to take a pay cut has to do with the segment of tech they&#8217;re in. On average, 12%\u00a0of people aged 40 or below who have had to take a pay cut to keep their job.
