The data comes from the\u00a0responses of more than 1,000 workers across the tech sector.<\/p>\n<p><b>More prevalent among young workers<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2303\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.comparably.com\/00000000\/b\/2017\/11\/toto.png\" alt=\"toto\" width=\"622\" height=\"212\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdn.comparably.com\/00000000\/b\/2017\/11\/toto-300x102.png 300w, https:\/\/cdn.comparably.com\/00000000\/b\/2017\/11\/toto.png 622w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Workers in the 18 to 25 age group had the highest rate of saying their bosses verbally abuse them (26%). The rate declined to 21% from there and bottomed out at 19% among 31 to 40-year-olds. Workers 41 to 45 also\u00a0reported this sort of behavior at high rates (23%).<\/p>\n<p><b>A bigger problem for minorities<\/b><\/p>\n<p>More than 30% of African American and Hispanic \/Latino respondents said they had been victims of verbal abuse or harassment at work.
