The next most popular response was accountability (20%), positivity (15%), honesty (9%) and work ethic (8%).\u00a0This is according to the latest reading of an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comparably.com\/culture\/tech\/all-departments\/75-what-does-your-direct-manager-most-need-to-improve\">ongoing query<\/a> by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comparably.com\/\">Comparably<\/a> of more than 10,000 people in tech.<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3089 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.comparably.com\/00000000\/b\/2018\/01\/WOWO-1.jpg\" sizes=\"(max-width: 698px) 100vw, 698px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.comparably.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/01\/WOWO-1-300x80.jpg 300w, https:\/\/cdn.comparably.com\/00000000\/b\/2018\/01\/WOWO-1.jpg 698w\" alt=\"WOWO\" width=\"698\" height=\"185\" \/><b>Men vs. women<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Men and women were nearly identical in their responses.
