If there’s one statistic that paints a picture of the lack of women in leadership positions, consider this: the\u00a0percentage of women sitting on the boards of Fortune 500 companies has more than doubled<\/a> since 1995, but still hovers at only 20%.<\/p>\n

Indeed, people of all ages say there aren’t enough women in leadership, according to the latest reading of an ongoing query<\/a> by Comparably<\/a>. More than 5,000 workers participated in the study.<\/p>\n

No major difference across the age spectrum<\/b><\/p>\n

Workers between ages 18 and 55 showed very little variation in their responses: anywhere from 59% to 62% said they feel there are enough women in leadership (meaning 38% to 41% say there aren’t enough women in leadership).\"ages\"<\/p>\n

Women feel there’s more of a problem<\/b><\/p>\n

Fifty-eight percent of women and 63% of men say there are enough women in leadership positions (meaning 42% of women and 37% of men say there aren’t enough women in leadership positions).\"sizx\"<\/p>\n

Asians\/Pacific Islanders most likely to say there aren\u2019t enough women in leadership<\/b><\/p>\n

49% of Asians\/Pacific Islanders say there are enough women in leadership, the lowest of any ethnic group.<\/p>\n
