There’s been plenty of conversation about\u00a0cryptocurrency lately, given the meteoric rise and fall of Bitcoin over the last few months. But the ledger-backed virtual currency continues to be plagued by one question: is it the way of the future, or is it a scam?<\/p>\n

Turns out that the answer is split overall, though people in legal are most\u00a0skeptical.<\/p>\n

Lawyers aren’t convinced<\/b><\/p>\n

Indeed, 70% of workers in legal roles at tech companies say cryptocurrencies are a scam, according to the latest reading of an ongoing query<\/a> by Comparably<\/a>. That was the highest rate among workers in any department. Workers in HR and executive roles had the lowest rates of saying it’s a scam. (36% and 28%).<\/p>\n

Overall, 46% of people say cryptocurrency is a scam.\"fl\"<\/p>\n

Skepticism and age<\/b><\/p>\n

Workers 18 to 45 showed average or below-average rates of thinking cryptocurrency is a scam. The rate rose after age 40, with more than 55% of people saying cryptocurrency is a scam.<\/p>\n
