But the ledger-backed virtual currency continues to be plagued by one question: is it the way of the future, or is it a scam?<\/p>\n<p>Turns out that the answer is split overall, though people in legal are most\u00a0skeptical.<\/p>\n<p><b>Lawyers aren&#8217;t convinced<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Indeed, 70% of workers in legal roles at tech companies say cryptocurrencies are a scam, according to the latest reading of an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comparably.com\/culture\/tech\/all-departments\/162-is-cryptocurrency-a-scam\">ongoing query<\/a> by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comparably.com\/\">Comparably<\/a>. That was the highest rate among workers in any department. Workers in HR and executive roles had the lowest rates of saying it&#8217;s a scam.
