While a significant percentage of all people feel that their boss expects them to work on vacation, the rate was highest among 18- to 25-year-olds.<\/p>\n

Thirty-five percent of people\u00a018 to 25 say their bosses expect them to work while they’re on vacation, according to the latest reading of an ongoing survey<\/a> by Comparably<\/a>.\u00a0The rate fell from there, hitting a low of 28% among those 51 to 55.<\/p>\n

Some departments have it worse than others<\/b><\/p>\n

HR, engineering and customer support were least likely to say they are expected to work on vacation (23%, 25%, and 27%, respectively). Business development, executive, and legal were most likely to say they are expected to work on vacation (44%, 44%, and 41%, respectively).<\/p>\n
