But the cost of both services\u2019 basic plans are going in opposite directions. Netflix subscriptions are getting more expensive, with its standard HD streaming plan now priced at $12.99 per month. Hulu keeps getting cheaper, with its own standard plan dropping to $5.99 a month on February 26<sup>th<\/sup>of this year.<\/p>\n<p>Both services are supported by most devices. Netflix offers a 4K streaming option, Hulu does not. Netflix has a reputation built mostly on their original material like <em>Bird Box<\/em>and <em>Tidying Up with Marie Kondo<\/em>. Hulu has <em>The Handmaid\u2019s Tale<\/em>(but not in 4K.) On Netflix, you can watch \u201ccomfort TV\u201d reruns of <em>Friends<\/em>and <em>The Office<\/em>. Hulu, however, has cornered that market with exclusive streaming rights to major TV classics like <em>The Simpsons, South Park<\/em>, <em>Seinfeld<\/em>and quite a few more.<\/p>\n<p>In the near future, Disney, AT&amp;T, and Comcast will all debut dedicated streaming services, so these two companies\u2019 time at the top may be coming to an end. But right now, Netflix and Hulu are the 800 pound gorillas of the streaming market.<\/p>\n<p>So how do employees of both rate their company\u2019s culture from the inside? These are just some of the things we expect every day from our teams.\u201d Women, however, ranked the company\u2019s culture a full five points lower at 78.<\/p>\n<p>One Hulu employee writes of Hulu\u2019s company culture, \u201cIt is a tremendously low-performing culture. Over time Hulu has acquired folks resistant to change and only willing to do the bare minimum\u2026 Far too much talking and not enough doing.\u201d Another calls the culture at Hulu \u201ca \u2018romper room\u2019 environment that encourages inappropriateness.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>CEO<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-6583\" Netflix employee of the company\u2019s general sentiment towards its chief executive.<\/p>\n<p>A Hulu employee says of company\u2019s leadership is \u201cpassive and inexperienced,\u201d and that the executive suite is plagued by \u201ca lot of infighting and empire building.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>Compensation<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-6584\" market,\u2019 they mean it.\u201d Women rate Netflix\u2019s compensation eight points lower at 69.<\/p>\n<p>Of their pay, a Hulu worker reports, \u201cHulu totes \u2018competitive compensation,\u2019 but that\u2019s only the case if you\u2019re a director or above.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>Perks and Benefits<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-6585\" means some people take advantage and some people don\u2019t take enough time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hulu offers unlimited PTO as well, but also has \u201cbad tuition reimbursement program\u201d as well as \u201cno mentorship program\u201d and \u201cbad internal development programs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>Diversity<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-6586\" education backgrounds,\u201d writes one Netflix worker of the company\u2019s diversity.<\/p>\n<p>A Hulu employee describes their company\u2019s diversity situation, however, as \u201ca bunch of white dudes from Amazon and Microsoft who came to Hulu (and) continue to hire more white dudes from Amazon and Microsoft.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Female participants rated Netflix eight points lower at 74, and Hulu five points higher and also at 74.<\/p>\n<p><b>Gender<\/b><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-6587\"
