We thought it made some sense to take a look at a few dating apps for today\u2019s Culture Showdown, so we settled on eHarmony\u00a0<\/b>and Match.com<\/b>. Both are venerable war horses in the world of online dating, predating most other popular apps by decades. So how does it feel to work for one of these two companies? How is the culture at Match.com? Are workers paid fairly at eHarmony? Let\u2019s take a look at what Comparably\u2019s data can tell us about life on the inside of these two matchmaking titans.<\/p>\n
OVERALL CULTURE<\/b><\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
An eHarmony employee says that his company\u2019s culture could be improved with \u201cnew leadership, new brains. Allowing middle management to have a voice no matter how young they look.\u201d<\/p>\n
A Match.com worker says the \u201clife\/work balance\u201d is excellent but that the company could use \u201cmore emphasis on collaborations among groups.\u201d Female respondents rate Match.com even better, at a strikingly high 97.<\/p>\n
CEO<\/b><\/p>\n

From eHarmony, one employee writes that the executive team has been \u201cmore or less replaced over the past couple of years\u201d and was showing signs of improving.<\/p>\n
Of their CEO, a Match.com employee simply says, \u201cCEO great, all is well.\u201d Female employees rate Match\u2019s Mandy Ginsberg even higher at 97.<\/p>\n
COMPENSATION<\/b><\/p>\n

On their company\u2019s pay, one eHarmony employee says they are \u201cnot being paid at industry standards.\u201d<\/p>\n
Match.com\u2019s compensation is \u201cat or above market,\u201d according to one employee.<\/p>\n
PERKS AND BENEFITS<\/b><\/p>\n

Employees are fairly enthusiastic about eHarmony\u2019s benefits package, noting \u201cgood health care benefits, a lot of small perks such as discounted gym membership, discounted tickets for concerts, movies, etc.\u201d<\/p>\n
