Just getting a raise, no matter how substantial, never sounds quite as impressive as when we can say we\u2019ve got a new title with more responsibilities. But more employees responded to the question \u201cHow many times in the last five years have you been promoted\u201d with \u201cI haven\u2019t been promoted yet\u201d than any other answer. There are some notable exceptions, which we\u2019ll explore below. The data comes from an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comparably.com\/culture\/tech\/all-department\/91-how-many-times-in-the-last-5-years-have-you-been-promoted\">ongoing study<\/a> by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.comparably.com\/\">Comparably<\/a>. Over 10,000 employees anonymously answered the query.<\/p>\n<p><b>25% percent say they\u2019ve been promoted once over the last five years.\u00a0<\/b>But 29% say they\u2019ve haven\u2019t been promoted at all during that time period.
