There is coherence and stagnancy.
I haven't seen any firing cases at lower level.
They are invested to grow but the growth and progress are not very appreciable as the appraisals were revoked and team is quiet demotivated.
If the appraisals are yearly twice team will be highly motivated. But giving the hike once a year doesn't keep the employees motivated throughout the year. Trips and team gatherings should be encouraged more.
