Dr. Niranjan Y. Sardesai, PhD has been the Chief Operating Officer of Inovio Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since January 2012. Dr. Sardesai served as a Senior Vice President of Research & Development at Inovio Biomedical Corporation. from June 1, 2009 to December 2011. Dr. Sardesai served as Senior Vice President of Research & Development of VGX Pharmaceuticals, LLC from November 2007 to June 1, 2009. Dr. Sardesai served as Vice President of Product Development at VGX Pharmaceuticals, LLC (Formerly Viral Genomix, Inc.) and its subsidiary, ADViSYS, Inc. Prior to joining in Viral Genomix, Inc., Dr. Sardesai founded NVision Consulting Inc. and served as its President. He served as Director of Research & Deveopment at Fujirebio Diagnostics, Inc. He also served as Senior Scientist at IGEN International, Inc. developing a high-throughput screening platform for drug-discovery. Hehas over 12 years of operating and consulting experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceuticals sector. Dr. Sardesai authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications and presentations. He was the recipient of the Shils-Zeidman Award in Entrepreneurship. He received a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the California Institute of Technology and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He completed post-doctoral fellowship at the Scripps Research Institute and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Sardesai graduated at the top of his class to receive his M. Sc. in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology.

Mr. Peter D. Kies has been the Chief Financial Officer at Inovio Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since June 2002. Mr. Kies served as HR Manager at Inovio Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Mr. Kies served as the Chief Financial Officer at Newgen Results Corporation. Mr. Kies holds a B.S. in Business Administration from United States International University in San Diego, California.

Dr. Mark L. Bagarazzi, M.D. has been the Chief Medical Officer of Inovio Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since January 2010. Dr. Bagarazzi leads worldwide clinical development and regulatory activities for Inovio's next-generation vaccines for the treatment and prevention of influenza, HIV, other infectious diseases and cancers. He joined Inovio from Merck & Co., where he was Director of worldwide regulatory affairs for vaccines and biologics. Dr. Bagarazzi led ongoing vaccine product and regulatory development of Merck's ZOSTAVAX(R), the leading vaccine for shingles. He was responsible for global regulatory activities related to Merck vaccine candidates for the prevention of HIV/AIDS. He successfully led the regulatory process through to FDA approval of RotaTeq(R), Merck's vaccine against rotavirus. Prior to joining Merck in 2001, he was Director of the HIV/AIDS program for St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. Dr. Bagarazzi was an Assistant Professor of pediatrics at Drexel College of Medicine and is a Guest Lecturer on vaccines and immunotherapeutics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Previously, he had been a Guest Lecturer at Johns Hopkins University. He holds several patents and has co-authored dozens of scientific papers, focused on the subject of DNA vaccines, that have been published in peer-reviewed medical journals. Dr. Bagarazzi holds BS in Electrical Engineering magna cum laude from New Jersey Institute of Technology and received his MD degree with honors from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

Dr. Laurent M. Humeau, Ph.D., has been Senior Vice President of Research & Development at Inovio Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since December 2017 and served as its Vice President of Research & Development from February 2014 to December 2017. Dr. Humeau served as Vice President of Research and Development at VIRxSYS Corporation. He develops new, highly efficient transduction procedures that are clinically translatable and improve in vitro and/or in vivo assays that are used for the generation of data for the clinical trials. Prior to Inovio, he served as Senior Director of Translational Research, Human Therapeutics Division for Intrexon and previously Chief Scientific Officer at VIRxSYS Corporation. He served as its Senior Director of Product Development at VIRxSYS. He has over 13 years of experience in the field of cell and gene therapies. Dr. Humeau conducted his graduate studies at the Department of Gene Transfer and Cellular Therapy at the Institute Paoli-Calmettes Cancer Center in Marseille, France and later attended the DNAX Research Institute in Palo Alto, California. As a post doctorate fellow at the University of San Francisco, he focused on vitro multi-lineage hematopoietic stem cell development assays, gene transfer and in utero transplantation. Dr. Humeau received his Ph.D. in Blood Cell Biology from the University Denis Diderot Paris, in Paris, France.
