Leadership is about politics. There are two main surveys that determine the fate of a leader - leader compass and associate engagement. So leaders focus on ways to get high scores from their direct reports and the employees that roll up through them. The company can be on a downward spiral and instead of fixing the problem, leaders are focused on their scores. There are teams that are performing terribly but if the people in the business unit love their leaders, it doesn't matter to ADP. The opposite is also true, truly great leaders get let go because they drive meaningful change but don't win the popular vote from their employees (many of which are low performing).
Strong but very political. They refer to people beneath them as "associates" which further creates a sense of hierarchy.
Horrible recently. Changing due to VERP and new manager style is stand-off
