You usually get your vacation as planned, but you usually have to plan half a year or at least one quarter ahead. One or two days off aside the plan can be taken from time to time as well.

Depending on the project you're working for, you usually are asked to plan ahead and then, what you planned is guaranteed. That's pretty cool.
