When I started a couple years ago, there was no process and I don't know if that has changed now. Anyhow, as a software engineer I was given change requests (aka bug reports / tickets) to work on and had to figure it out on my own. Some of my coworkers where kind and helpful but the time they could spend to explain things to someone who is new was very limited. Others just wanted to see you fail. In my department there were more people let go than who made it through the first 6 months. I got "lucky" and made it to the point where I got efficient enough to not have to worry about my job anymore and the tasks changed a little more towards developing new features than only fixing bugs but I never got to the point where I liked the working atmosphere there.
