Depends on the position and time of year. For some positions, certain times of the year can be brutal and often times, management will impose PTO blackouts for certain time periods in order to accommodate the increased work load. If you are grandfathered into the merger, some people have unlimited PTO, however, most employees only get 2 weeks/year. If you do not have backup for your position, getting time off may be difficult and makes for poor work/life balance.
