
You're generally not allowed to work from home. Some employees do and are made to drive by the office and swipe their badge so that the tracking system registers them in the office. If a manager's staff drops below 50%, they get in trouble. They are not hiring any new telework jobs. You must be withing distance of a core site to be employed.
HPE's guidance is 2 days in the office but it's flexbile and is up to the needs of each team. My team goes in for a few meetings once or twice a week but most of the work is done remotely.
The policy is there allowing people to work from home but it’s up to each manager’s discretion. In my case, my manager works from home near Dallas, yet he requires his entire team to work onsite in Houston.
