This is not unique to Faithlife, but I wish I had known that the full value of my work is not always seen by management. I have learned that I must regularly communicate my accomplishments, and the value of my accomplishments, to management. I have had performance reviews where I had compiled a list of my accomplishments, and management was surprised at some of them, forgetting that I had done them. The perceived value of an employee is determined by the employee's accomplishments AND the visibility of those accomplishments. The relevancy of those accomplishments is also a factor. You can accomplish a lot of things, but if they are not valuable to management, then your reward will be limited.
