Membersuite's tech stack is clever, but not always necessarily in a good way. Their '4X' platform is complex and confusing, relying on an architecture devised by the original CEO, Andrew Ryan. Ask any developer on the '4X' team at Membersuite, and they'll tell you their codebase is a monstrous, confusing thing to encounter. Recently, there was a '5X' web-based (Angular) overhaul completed, but the success of this project has yet to be seen.
