Total joke. They will post jobs, even though they already know who they are going to hire. Meanwhile, they make folks waste their time interviewing for a job they have no chance of getting. If you are a friend of a manager, you probably have a good chance of getting hired. They hired one person, who has no experience in the area as a manager a while back. Not that unusual, but when she is bringing home $300,000, it makes you wonder where the accountability really is.

Some departments are better than others, where supervisors get to hire their own people. But some have micromanaging managers that hire all positions. Today, I witnessed a VP interview an entry level position. She interviewed like she was hiring a manager, with lots of redirects, instead of some kind out of college or person who has good customer service experience at non-financial companies.

Being a big bank it is a bit drawn out process. In terms of format most certainly you will be asked situational questions, such as tell me about a time ...when you took a risk ...had to overcome challenges.. you made a mistake, outcome and your learnings from that process etc. etc. Good luck!

Panel interview of at least 2 people, if not more. There are a predetermined set of SAME questions that are asked of each candidate applying for that specific position. They do not waiver from the questions per applicant. This is to help ensure a more unbiased view of a candidate.

Each group manages their hiring within an overall HR structure, but there are always background checks and several interviews (as many as 6 in my group) before someone is hired, even for a contract position. It can take a couple of months.

Incredibly scripted, people without the proper qualifications can get through if they answer the questions right, while the qualified candidates wouldn't get it if they didn't answer the questions right. They completely overlook the candidates qualifications...

Long and very scripted. I can see why it is the way it is, but I also feels it keeps our hands tied, as managers to make the choices we know would be the best choice.

    Very technical
