While co-workers in all the labs are wonderful, the group manager and the pseudo manager severely lack people skills, the VP of R&D who runs the centre is a bit out of touch because there are no 360 reviews done at the company.
What's going wrong and how can it be improved?
I am not given enough training in order to do my job well. Things are only expected of me without ever considering what training I need.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Usually my manager and my pseudo manager make a decision and they just want me to follow it. I've been told not to think, instead just do.
What needs to change to make the company culture better?
Educate people who have been at the R&D centre for 10+ years on how companies like Google are run - food, vending machines, bringing your whole self to work, off-site meetings.
