What do people at AHS think about the CEO? What do they do well and what can they improve?
we could use more transparent policy making and better top down communication, but overall management is positive.
I honestly could not tell you who the CEO was, or recognize them if I was standing next to them
He is only interested in what makes him look good
How's the work life balance at AHS?
good. shifts are reasonable. call shifts are only 4 hours. if overtime is available it is volunteer based not mandatory.

I am expected to work long hours to meet deadlines and targets, this means I start early and finish late, I feel unhealthy because I do not have time to exercise or relax

good. the online application is easy. the supervisors performing the interviews are friendly and knowledgeable.

What's the internship program like at AHS?
it's a part of the University of Maine medical technologist program so you have to be a student there. it's very comprehensive and prepares the student for working at ALI and the ASCP exam.

it's not bad

good. they are fairly relaxed and ask very typical interview questions

Very variable, some love the work they do and are good at their job, some are lazy and rude

Executive team are punitive and not interested in the frontline staff, they do not focus on quality, only reducing cost in patient care. They do not reflect the mission statement in any way in the way they do business
