Mr. Polys Hajioannou has been the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Safe Bulkers, Inc. since 2008. Mr. Hajioannou serves at Safety Management Overseas S.A. He also serves at Alassia Steamship Co., Ltd and joined it in 1987. He serves as Founding Member of the Union of Cyprus Shipowners. He serves as a Director of Safe Bulkers, Inc. He has been a Director of The United Kingdom Mutual Steam Ship Assurance Association (Bermuda) Limited since October 28, 2013. He has been a Director of the Hellenic Mutual War Risks Association (Bermuda) Limited since 2011. He served as a Director of the Union of Greek Shipowners since 2006 until February 2009. Mr. Hajioannou holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nautical Studies from Sunderland University.

Mr. Ioannis Foteinos, also known as John, has been the Chief Operating Officer of Safe Bulkers, Inc. since February 19, 2009. Mr. Foteinos joined the predecessor of Manager, Safety Management Overseas in 1984, where he serves as Chartering Manager. He has 25 years of experience in the shipping industry. He has been a Director of Safe Bulkers, Inc. since February 19, 2009. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Nautical Studies from Sunderland University in 1987.

Mr. Konstantinos Adamopoulos has been the Chief Financial Officer of Safe Bulkers, Inc. since 2000. Mr. Adamopoulos served at Calyon, a financial institution, as a Senior Relationship Manager of Shipping Finance for 14 years. From 1990 to 1993, Mr. Adamopoulos served at National Bank of Greece in London as an Account Officer for Shipping Finance and in Athens as Deputy Head of the export finance department. From 1987 to 1989, Mr. Adamopoulos served as a Finance Officer of the Greek Air Force. He has been a Director of Safe Bulkers, Inc. since 2008. Mr. Adamopoulos holds an M.B.A. in Finance from the City University Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Athens School of Economics and Business Science.

Dr. Loukas Barmparis has been the President and Secretary of Safe Bulkers, Inc. since 2008. Dr. Barmparis joined Safe Bulkers, Inc.'s Manager Alasia Development S.A. in February 2006 and serves as its Technical Manager. He joined affiliated Alasia Development S.A. in January 2006 and serves as its Technical Manager, where he is responsible for project development. From 1999 to 2005 and from 1993 to 1995, Dr. Barmparis served as Technical Manager and Project Development General Manager at N. Daskalantonakis Group, Grecotel, one of the largest hotel chains in Greece. From 1995 to 1999, Dr. Barmparis served at Exergia S.A. as an Energy Consultant. He has been a Director of Safe Bulkers, Inc. since 2008. Dr. Barmparis holds a Master of Business Administration from the Athens Laboratory of Business Administration, a Doctorate from the Imperial College of Science Technology and Medicine, an Master of Applied Science from the University of Toronto and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Aristotle University of Hessaloniki.
