they need to put in the same amount of effort and time that all other employees contribute. They also need to take care of their roles and responsibilities.
I believe that people do want to care and want to do the right thing for the customer. People genuinely enjoy the idea of making a product they can see out in the world and it has the potential to be a very fun environment to work.
The leadership team needs to back up and really put themselves in the shoes of the employees at the plant level. They need to consider what is a realistic amount of people it takes to accomplish all of the tasks we say are necessary. Also create more clear goals and pathways to get there.
The people are not happy, and we need to understand why. The people feel like they are helpless and we need to give them the tools and resources (sometimes more people) to perform the tasks at hand. People feel like equipment and tools are constantly broke and we need to listen and fix them.
