Dr. Aoife M. Brennan, M.D. has been Chief Medical Officer of Synlogic, Inc. since September 12, 2016. Dr. Brennan is responsible for the oversight and direction of the Synlogic's clinical development strategy and operations. Dr. Brennan joined Synlogic following six years at Biogen, where she was in roles of increasing responsibility and served as vice president and head of the Rare Disease Innovation Unit, which included programs ranging from pre-clinical to commercial. She has also led programs across multiple therapeutic areas including the late phase development of nusinersen for spinal muscular atrophy and ALPROLIX and ELOCTATE, treatments for Hemophilia B and Hemophilia A. She served as Senior Medical Director of Clinical Development at Biogen Inc. (alternate name, Biogen Idec Inc.). Prior to joining Biogen, Dr. Brennan was Director of Clinical Development at Tolerx, a start-up biotech company focusing on immunotherapy for Type 1 diabetes. She has completed post-doctoral training in clinical research and metabolism at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and is a graduate of the Harvard Medical School Scholars in Clinical Science Program. Dr. Brennan holds a medical degree from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland and has completed post-graduate training in internal medicine, endocrinology and metabolism.

Mr. Paul Francis Miller, Ph.D. has been Chief Scientific Officer of Synlogic, Inc since 2014. Mr. Miller is Scientific Advisor of Spero Therapeutics, Inc. He serves as an Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Client Development at Blue Diesel Inc. and also served as its President. He was the Vice President of Infection Biology at AstraZeneca and responsible for the early discovery portfolio and strategy. He served as Chief Scientific Officer for Antibacterial Research at Pfizer. Mr. Miller leads the team responsible for strategically guiding and managing important client relationships, including those with Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, Bayer, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Cardinal Health and Merck. Mr. Miller is an expert in project management and development methodologies and strategic systems planning, began his career as a management consultant with one of the Big Four and later worked in IS management for a new home builder and a leading document management services firm. He has also served as a member of the Institute of Medicine's Forum on Microbial Threats. Mr. Miller graduated summa cum laude in Management Information Systems from the University of Dayton and earned his Master's Degree in Management from Purdue University. He received his Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology from the Albany Medical College and conducted post-doctoral studies at the National Institutes of Health.

Prof. Timothy K. Lu, also known as Tim, M.D., Ph.D., is a Scientific Founder at BiomX Ltd. Prof. Lu is a Co-Founder at Synlogic, Inc. Prof. Lu serves as an Advisor of Goodman Capital Limited. Prof. Lu was a Co-founder of Sample6, Inc. and serves as its Director. Prof. Lu has been the Chairman of Scientific Advisory Board of AmpliPhi Biosciences Corporation since February 23, 2017. He serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and the Department of Biological Engineering at MIT in the Synthetic Biology group as well as Associate fellow at the Broad Institute. He is also a core member of the MIT Synthetic Biology Center and a Co-Founder of multiple biotechnology companies that develop innovative diagnostic and therapeutic technologies for human health. In addition to his scientific work, he participated in several software and biomedical startup companies. He was selected as one of 35 young innovators under 35 by MIT's Technology Review, as well as awarded the 2008 Lemelson-MIT Student Prize and the 2008 National Inventors Hall of Fame Collegiate Inventors Competition Grand Prize for his work on engineered bacteriophage for the treatment of intractable bacterial infections. Prof. Lu is a recipient of the ACS Synthetic Biology Young Investigator Award, the Biochemical Engineering Journal Young Investigator Award, the NIH New Innovator Award, the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers and the Ellison Medical Foundation New Scholar in Aging Award, among others. Prof. Lu graduated from MIT with SB and M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and with a PhD from the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology Program in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering.

Todd Shegog serves as the CFO of Synlogic Therapeutics. Todd started at Synlogic Therapeutics in Sep of 2016. Todd currently resides in the Greater Boston Area.

Jose Lora serves as the Vice President, Research of Synlogic Therapeutics. Jose started at Synlogic Therapeutics in Sep of 2016. Jose currently resides in the Greater Boston Area.

Adam Thomas serves as the CHRO of Synlogic Therapeutics. Adam started at Synlogic Therapeutics in July of 2017. Adam currently resides in the Greater Boston Area.

Caroline Kurtz serves as the SVP, Head of Metabolism of Synlogic Therapeutics. Caroline started at Synlogic Therapeutics in May of 2018. Caroline currently resides in the Greater Boston Area.
