Mr. Douglas F. Bauer, also known as Doug, Founded TRI Pointe Group, Inc. (also known as TRI Pointe Homes, Inc.) and has been its Chief Executive Officer since January 30, 2013. Mr. Bauer served as the Chief Operating Officer and President of William Lyon Homes from March 1, 2007 to March 18, 2009 and oversaw all facets of its creation and growth. Mr. Bauer joined William Lyon Homes in 1999 when it acquired substantially all of the assets of the former William Lyon Homes. He served as an Executive Vice President of William Lyon Homes from July 1, 2005 to March 1, 2007, President for its Northern California Division from 1999 to March 1, 2007 and also served as its Senior Vice President until July 1, 2005. He served as a Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of William Lyon Homes. His past experience include seven years at Security Pacific National Bank in Los Angeles, California in various financial positions. He has more than 20 years experience in the real estate development and homebuilding industry. He has been a Director of TRI Pointe Group, Inc. since January 30, 2013. He served as a Director at TRI Pointe Homes, LLC. He served as a Director of William Lyon Homes from February 27, 2007 to March 18, 2009. Mr. Bauer holds a BA from The University of Oregon and an MBA from The University Of Southern California.

He served as a Secretary of Tri Pointe Homes, Inc. since April 2009. He served as the Chief Executive Officer at TRI Pointe Homes, LLC. He served as Senior Vice President and President of Southern California Division at William Lyon Homes until February 27, 2009 and also served as its Executive Vice President of Business Development & Operations until February 27, 2009. From 1998 to 2009, Mr. Mitchell served in several capacities, including most recently Executive Vice President for William Lyon Homes. He joined William Lyon Homes in 1999, when it acquired substantially all of the assets of William Lyon Homes, where he served as a Project Manager, Vice President and Division President since December 1988. He has significant experience in land acquisition, entitlement and development, project planning, product design, construction operations, finance, sales/marketing, customer satisfaction and warranty service. Prior to his 20-year tenure at William Lyon Homes, Mr. Mitchell spent over two years with The Irvine Company in their community development group and over two years with Pacific Savings Bank. He has more than 25 years experience in the real estate development and homebuilding industry. Mr. Mitchell serves as a Director of Ocean Institute. He served as a Director of TRI Pointe Homes, Inc. Mr. Mitchell served as a Member of the board of managers of TPH LLC since 2010. His accomplishments have been recognized by, among other things, his being awarded the Outstanding Home Design and National Home of the Year awards and being identified by Home Builder Executive as a Top 100 President. In 2004, Mr. Mitchell was awarded the BIA Inland Empire Builder of the Year. He holds B.A. from California State University of Long Beach.
