Mr. Corrado De Gasperis has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of Comstock Mining, Inc. since April 21, 2010. Mr. De Gasperis serves as the Principal Executive Officer, President, Principal Financial Officer, Principal Accounting Officer and Treasurer of Novamerican Steel U.S. Inc. He has been Executive Chairman of Comstock Mining, Inc since September 28, 2015. He served as the Principal Financial Officer at Comstock Mining, Inc. from April 21, 2010 to February 2015. He has been the Chief Executive Officer of Novamerican Steel Holdings Inc. since 2006 and also serves as its Principal Financial Officer and Principal Accounting Officer. He served as Principal Financial Officer of Goldspring, Inc since April 21, 2010. Mr. De Gasperis has more than 20 years of manufacturing, metals and mining operational and financial management, construction project management and capital markets experience to Company. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Barzel Holdings, Inc. since April 2006 and also served as Principal Financial Officer, Principal Accounting Officer. Mr. De Gasperis was the Founder of Barzel Industries Inc., (Formerly Novamerican Steel Inc., Symmetry Holdings Inc.) and served as its Chief Executive Officer since April 2006 and as its Interim Principal Accounting Officer since March 2009 until September 2009 and also served as its Principal Financial Officer until September 2009. He served as the Principal Accounting Officer of Novamerican Steel U.S. Inc. until July 15, 2008. He has been a Partner of KPMG LLP since July 1, 1998. He served as the Chief Executive Officer, President, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Accounting Officer and Treasurer at Nova Tube Indiana, LLC. From May 2001 to December 12, 2005, he served as Chief Financial Officer of GrafTech International Ltd., Chief Information Officer and Vice President from February 2000 to December 12, 2005 and also served as its Principal Accounting Officer. From May 2001 to December 2005, Mr. De Gasperis served as Chief Financial Officer of GrafTech Global Enterprises Inc., (formerly UCAR International, Inc.) and also served its Chief Information Officer and Vice President from February 2000 to December 12, 2005. He also served as Principal Accounting Officer of GrafTech Global Enterprises Inc. He served as Controller of UCAR International, Inc. from June 1998 to February 2000. From September 1987 to June 1998, he was with KPMG LLP, served as a Senior Assurance Manager in the Manufacturing, Retail and Distribution Practice, where he served clients such as General Electric Company, Union Carbide, E. Merck OHG, Eagle Electric Manufacturing Company, Playtex Products Inc., and Precision Valve Corporation. He has been an Independent Director of GBS Gold International Inc. since August 24, 2005. He has been a Director of Novamerican Steel Holdings Inc. since April 2006 and Comstock Mining, Inc. since June 27, 2011. He serves as a Director of Novamerican Steel U.S. Inc., and Nova Tube Indiana, LLC. He served as a Director of Barzel Industries Inc. from April 2006 to September 2009 and Barzel Holdings, Inc. since April, 2006. He served as a Director of Emerson Exploration Inc. since 2005. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Conneticut. Mr. De Gasperis holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree, with Honors, from Western Connecticut State University's Ancell School of Business in May, 1987.
