Below average. The organization does not recognize the efforts of key individuals and maintains no loyalty to its employees. 2% wage increases are the norm while expectations are constantly being raised.

I appreciate having a variety or health benefit packages to choose from and a Health Savings Account. It helps my pay stretch and work for my families budget. SJVC knows not one size fits all.

Compensation is far below average for Education institutions. This leads to a high rate of turnover and an unstable work environment. The benefits are expensive and subpar.

The college pays less than many other colleges around the area I would like to see the pay based on years of experience as well as degrees not a flat rate for everyone. Still love to work here!!!

The whole culture has to change. Top brass has to be more open to the changes that are going on in our industry. When money is the bottom line and passing a student instead of helping them learn what they need to learn to work in the industry, it's a bad environment.
