For fulltime employee BV is amazing but for parttime like myself the pay is miserable with no benefits at all. The pt pay is not porptional to the ft at all.This is especially infuriating when you see McDonald's starting pay is more than I'm making having been with the company for more than 6 years.

  • it's up to you to manage.

  • It's up to you to balance. People can work from home once a week. Take 1 day off easily or having a vacation is very flexible. But there's responsibility and on-call rotation for critical services as well. It's a per team policy. Managers don't care much about your work hours but they do care about your performance and your contributions.

  • unlimited vacation. but of course there's no such thing as unlimited. you generally get at least 3 week off on top of the national holidays. you can do more if you manage your work well and you are in good terms with your manager. the only requirement for taking a vacation is to ask your manager first. all of my manager just said yes even if i take a 2 weeks vacation.

  • The atmosphere at work is very relaxing; you can work from hom on Wednesday if your team permits. However, that doesn't mean that you can slack off. It's the opposite. You are rewarded based on your performance and how you work well with other on your team. We have 360 degree peer review twice a year. You will even review your manager. We welcome honest & constructive feedback and encourage collaboration and no brilliant jerk. The organization changes fast and the technology changes even faster. We don't generally build the same thing over and over, we either automate them or rearchitect to make them faster, more sclalable and better. It's a fun place to be at if you enjoy discovering, tinkering, researching and being at the bleeding edge. It's not for people who want to settle down to have a comfortable 9-to-5 kinda job.
