Mr. James L. Francis has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of Chesapeake Lodging Trust since June 2009. Mr. Francis serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of CHSP DC Holding Trust. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President at Highland Hospitality Corporation from July 2003 to July 2007 and its Director. Mr. Francis served as the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer at Barcelo Crestline from June 2002 to December 2003 and previously served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Crestline Capital Corporation, prior to its acquisition by Barcel???, from December 1998 to June 2002. Prior to the spin-off of Barcelo Crestline from Host Marriott Corporation, Mr. Francis held various finance and strategic planning positions at Host Marriott and Marriott International, Inc. From June 1997 to December 1998, he held the position of Assistant Treasurer and Vice President of Corporate Finance at Host Marriott Corporation, where he was responsible for its corporate finance function, business strategy and investor relations. Over a period of ten years, Mr. Francis served in various capacities at Marriott International's lodging business, including Vice President of Finance at Marriott Lodging from 1995 to 1997, Brand Executive, Courtyard by Marriott from 1994 to 1995, Controller of the Courtyard by Marriott and Fairfield Inn businesses from 1993 to 1994, Director of Finance and Strategic Planning at Courtyard by Marriott and Fairfield Inn from 1991 to 1993 and Director of Hotel Development Finance from 1987 to 1991. He serves as the Chairman of CHSP DC Holding Trust. He has been an Independent Trustee of Gramercy Property Trust Inc. since December 15, 2015. He has been a Trustee of Chesapeake Lodging Trust since June 2009. He served as an Independent Trustee of Chambers Street Properties since September 17, 2013. Mr. Francis received an M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from Vanderbilt University and his B.A. in Economics and Business from Western Maryland College.

Mr. D. Rick Adams has been Executive Vice President at Chesapeake Lodging Trust since February 2014 and its Chief Operating Officer since March 18, 2015 and served as its Chief Investment Officer from November 2009 to February 2015 and also served as its Senior Vice President from November 2009 to January 2014. Mr. Adams received a B.S. in Management from Indiana University.
