Mr. James O. Miller, also known as Jim, has served as Chairman of the Board since April 2014 of Civista Bancshares, Inc. (the Corporation). He served as President and CEO from December 2007 until December 31, 2017 of the Corporation. He has more than 43 years in banking beginning with Third National Bank in Sandusky in 1974. He joined the Corporation in 1986 as a Vice President of finance and has held several roles in his 31 years at Civista. He is a graduate of Sandusky High School and earned a bachelor's degree in business from Ashland College. In addition he is a graduate of numerous banking educational programs. Through the years, he has served the community in many leadership roles and currently is on the board of Firelands Regional Medical Center, the Mack Iron Works Company, and the Albert & Olive Schlink Foundation. He is also Treasurer of the Erie County Economic Development Corporation, chairman of the Erie County Port Authority, and a founding board member of the Sandusky Area Maritime Association and serves on the boards of the Erie County Historical Association and the Sandusky Bicentennial Commission. He was on the Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland for several years.

Mr. James E. McGookey has been a Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Civista Bancshares, Inc. since 2002 and has been its Secretary since 2007. Mr. McGookey has been an Executive Vice President of Civista Bank since 2013. He served as Senior Vice President of Civista Bank since 2002 until 2013 and the Farmers State Bank since 2002 until 2005. He was the Shareholder of Buckingham, Lucal, McGookey & Zeiher Co., L.P.A. (law firm) from 2000 to 2002; Partner in Lucal & McGookey (law firm) prior to 2000. Mr. McGookey has been a Director of Water Street Properties Inc. since 2003 and First Citizens Insurance Company Inc. of First Citizens Banc Corp. since 2003. He has been a Director of First Citizens Title Insurance Company Inc. since 2003 and served as Director of SCC Resources Inc. since 2004.

Mr. Richard J. Dutton, also known as Rich, has been the Chief Operating Officer of Civista Bank since 2013 and served as its Executive Vice President since 2006 until 2013. Mr. Dutton has been a Senior Vice President of Civista Bancshares, Inc. since 2006 and serves as its Chief Operating Officer. He served as a Vice President and Treasurer of Peoples Ohio Financial Corp. from July 2002 to 2006 and has been its Chief Financial Officer since July 2002. He has been Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Peoples Savings Bank of Troy since July 2002. Mr. Dutton served at BKD, LLP (and predecessor firms) for 17 years, where he was a Partner and was responsible for its Kentucky/Southern Indiana Financial Institution Practice.

Mr. Todd A. Michel has been a Senior Vice President and Controller of Civista Bancshares, Inc. since 2000 and 1998 respectively and serves as its Principal Financial Officer & Principal Accounting Officer. Mr. Michel has been a Senior Vice President and Controller of Civista Bank since 1999 and 1996 respectively.

Lance Morrison serves as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Civista Bank. Lance started at Civista Bank in Oct of 2018. Lance currently resides in the Cleveland/Akron, Ohio Area.

Aaron Stephens serves as the Regional Market Executive/Senior Vice President of Civista Bank. Aaron started at Civista Bank in May of 2014. Aaron currently resides in the Columbus, Ohio Area.

Christopher Malfara serves as the VICE PRESIDENT-COMMERCIAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT of Civista Bank. Christopher started at Civista Bank in April of 2018. Christopher currently resides in the Toledo, Ohio Area.
