Dr. Charles A. McWherter, Ph.D. has been Chief Scientific Officer and Senior Vice President at Cymabay Therapeutics, Inc. since 2013 and July 2007 respectively. Dr. McWherter served as Senior Vice President of Research and Preclinical Development at Cymabay Therapeutics from August 2007 to November 22, 2013. Prior to Metabolex, Inc., Dr. McWherter served as Vice President and head of Pfizer, Inc.'s cardiovascular research unit in St. Louis during which his organization built a portfolio of clinical candidates for hypertension, renal disease and thrombosis. Prior to Pfizer, Inc. he served as vice president of drug discovery at Sugen Inc. where he developed and implemented a strategic plan integrating structure-based drug design with advanced compound screening. Before joining Sugen Dr. McWherter worked at Pharmacia Corp. and its predecessor companies, G.D. Searle & Co. and Monsanto Co., for almost two decades, rising to site director for oncology research. He served as chairman of the board of directors of the Greater St. Louis Division of the American Heart Association. Dr. McWherter has published more than 30 scientific articles and holds eight U.S. patents. He previously served as an adjunct assistant professor of molecular biology and pharmacology at the Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. McWherter holds M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in chemistry from Cornell University.

Dr. Pol F. Boudes, M.D., Ph.D., has been the Chief Medical Officer at Cymabay Therapeutics, Inc. since April 2014. Dr. Boudes served as the Chief Medical Officer of Amicus Therapeutics, Inc. from January 2009 to April 30, 2013. Dr. Boudes served as Head of Medical Development, US and Executive Director, Gynecology & Andrology at Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals (formerly Berlex, Inc.) from 2004 to 2009. Dr. Boudes served as Vice President, Global Clinical Development, Women's Health Care US of Berlex Laboratories. From 1996 to 2003, Dr. Boudes served as a Project Director, Senior Director and Assistant Vice-President Worldwide Clinical Research, Women's Health and Bone and Internal Medicine at Wyeth Research. Dr. Boudes has extensive clinical development experience to CymaBay, including expertise in all phases of clinical trial design and execution. From 1991 to 1996, Dr. Boudes was Clinical Research Physician and served as its Senior Clinical Research Physician and Global Clinical Leader, Virology at Hoffman-La Roche. From 1990 to 1991, Dr. Boudes was Global Project Manager, Immunology at Pasteur Merieux (now Sanofi Pasteur). Dr. Boudes practiced medicine and held academic appointments at University Hospitals (Marseille and Paris), the Paris Faculty of Medicine, the French Society of Internal Medicine and French Health Agencies. He served as a Member of Scientific Advisory Board of Abeona Therapeutics Inc. until April 07, 2017. He completed his internship and residency in Marseilles and in Paris, France and was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Paris. Dr. Boudes is Board-certified in Geriatric Diseases, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology and Metabolic Diseases. Dr. Boudes received B.S. and MD degrees from the University of Marseille, France.

Daniel Menold serves as the VP Finance for CymaBay Therapeutics. Daniel started at CymaBay Therapeutics in January of 2014. Daniel is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Patrick OMara serves as the SVP Business Development for CymaBay Therapeutics. Patrick started at CymaBay Therapeutics in January of 2017. Patrick is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Klara Dickinson serves as the Senior Vice President of CymaBay Therapeutics. Klara currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Patricia Rohane serves as the Vice President, Clinical Development of CymaBay Therapeutics. Patricia currently resides in the Greater New York City Area.
