Dr. Wade Hampton King, M.D. has been Senior Vice President of Corporate Development & Strategy at Insmed Incorporated since March 2016. Dr. King served the Vice President of Investments and Client Advisory at Obermeyer Wood Investment Counsel. He collaborated with the team on investment security selection and strategic initiatives and managed certain client relationships. Prior to this, he was employed at NeoMend, Inc where he most recently served as an Executive Vice President, Strategy and Business Development. Dr. King previously served as the Senior Vice President of Finance for the firm. Prior to his operating role at NeoMend, he spent more than a decade specializing in research and investment selection, holding senior and management positions at Robertson Stephens, Wells Fargo and Montgomery & Co. Dr. King was the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Investment Research at Peninsula Capital Management, Inc. Dr. King was the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Portfolio Manager at Sirius Advisors LLC. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director at Robertson Stephens and was Equity Analyst at Robertson Stephens, Inc., Research Division. Dr. King also served as the Director of Research and on the Executive Committee at Montgomery & Company. He also served at Montgomery & Co., LLC, Research Division. Dr. King also served as the Director of Healthcare Research at Wells Fargo Securities and was Equity Analyst at Wells Fargo Securities, LLC, Research Division. Previously, he was Chairman of Anesthesiology at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View, CA and was a practicing anesthesiologist from 1986 until 1996. Before moving to the financial industry, Dr. King also served as a Practicing Physician, including a term as the Chief of Anesthesiology for a Silicon Valley-based hospital. Dr. King earned his M.D. and Master of Public Health degrees at the University of North Carolina Schools of Medicine and Public Health and a Master of Science in Management Degree from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
