Iochpe-Maxion operates in the automotive and railroad sectors. It currently employs over 20,000 people in 30 manufacturing units all over the world. In the automotive segment, the company operates through the Maxion Wheels and Structural Components divisions and in the railroad segment via AmstedMaxion.The Maxion Wheels division produces steel wheels for trucks, buses, light commercial vehicles, passenger cars, agriculture and off-read vehicles, and aluminum wheels for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. The Structural Components division produces chassis and other stamped structural parts and components for trucks, buses, pick-ups and passenger cars. In the railroad sector, the company operates through AmstedMaxion, a joint venture with Amsted Industries of the United States, producing railroad cargo wagons and industrial castings.
