Dr. Eric N. Olson, Ph.D. co-founded Lonestar Heart, Inc. in 2010 and serves as its Chief Scientific Advisor. Dr. Olson co-founded Miragen Therapeutics, Inc. in 2006 and served as its Chief Scientific Advisor. Dr. Olson serves as a Professor and Chairman of Department of Molecular Biology of University of Texas Southwestern. He joined the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at The M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in 1984 and became Professor and Chairman. He also serves as an Associate Director of the D.W. Reynolds Center of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Mr. Olson serves as a Director at Lonestar Heart, Inc. He serves as a Director of the Hamon Center for Basic Research in Cancer. Dr. Olson has focused on discovering novel transcription factors that control development of these muscle cell types and remodeling in response to cardiovascular and neuromuscular diseases. Dr. Olson has been a Member of Scientific Advisory Board at Stowers Institute For Medical Research Inc. since 2000. He serves as a Member of Scientific Review Board for Howard Hughes Medical Institute. He has been a Member of Scientific Advisory Board of miRagen Therapeutics, Inc. since January 2010. He served as a Member of Scientific Advisory Board - Cardiac Regeneration of Hydra Biosciences, Inc. Dr. Olson attended Wake Forest University receiving a B.A. in Chemistry and Biology, a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and an honorary doctorate. He completed postdoctoral training at Washington University School of Medicine.

Mr. Jason A. Leverone, CPA, has been Chief Financial Officer at Miragen Therapeutics, Inc. since February 2012 and has been its Treasurer and Secretary since February 2017. Mr. Leverone served as Head of Finance and Operations at Miragen Therapeutics, Inc. Mr. Leverone served as Vice President of Miragen Therapeutics, Inc. Prior to joining miRagen, Mr. Leverone was Senior Director of Finance and Controller for Replidyne, Inc., a publicly traded biotechnology company based in Louisville, Colorado, from 2005 until 2009. At Replidyne, he played a role in completing the Company's initial public offering and executing its strategic sale to Cardiovascular Systems, Inc. Prior to joining Replidyne, Mr. Leverone was the Corporate Controller for CreekPath System, Inc., an international software development company based in Boulder, Colorado, from 2002 until 2005. He commenced his professional career with the accounting firm of Ernst and Young LLP in Manchester, New Hampshire, and between 1998 and 2002, served as an Audit Manager for public accounting firms Arthur Andersen LLP and KPMG LLP in Denver, Colorado. Mr. Leverone is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island.

Dr. Marvin H. Caruthers, Ph.D., co-founded miRagen Therapeutics, Inc. in 2006 and has been its Member of Scientific Advisory Board since September 9, 2016. Dr. Caruthers served as a Venture Partner and Consultant at Boulder Ventures Limited (BV) since its founding in 1995. From 1992 to 1995, he served as the Chairman of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Colorado. In 1980, Dr. Caruthers and seven other research scientists founded AMGEN with three venture capital groups. He continues to serve as a Scientific Consultant to the AMGEN and serves a Member of the Scientific Advisory Board. Dr. Caruthers and Dr. Lee Hood co-founded Applied Biosystems, Inc., in 1981 to commercialize their discoveries in the chemical synthesis of nucleic acids and the sequencing of proteins. Dr. Caruthers is a distinguished Professor of Biochemistry and Bio-organic Chemistry at the University of Colorado since 1979. Dr. Caruthers is a renowned Research Scientist in the field of DNA Synthesis and an inventor and multiple patent holder of key enabling manufacturing techniques for the biotechnology industry. He served as a Director of Genomica Corp. since 1997 and has also been a Founding Investor at both the companies, together with BV General Partner Kyle Lefkoff. He has been a Director of ProFoldRx, Inc. since February 2006. He serves as Member of Scientific Advisory Board of AmideBio, LLC. Dr. Caruthers served as a Director of Dharmacon Inc., where he is also a Founding Investor. He serves as a Director of OXiGENE Inc. He has been a Director of BaroFold, Inc. since February 2006. He serves as a Member of Scientific Advisory Board of miRagen Therapeutics, Inc. and Nanosphere, Inc. He served as a Director of miRagen Therapeutics, Inc. until September 9, 2016. He served as a Director of Array Biopharma Inc. from August 1998 to October 26, 2011. He served as a Member of Scientific Advisory Board at BiOptix Inc. Dr. Caruthers is an Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Biotechnology, the Journal of Protein Engineering, and the Journal of Molecular Recognition. He is a Member of the National Academy of Sciences and of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Dr. Caruthers was awarded the National Medal of Science for 2006, the nation's highest distinction honoring scientific achievement. Dr. Caruthers, a Guggenheim Fellow, holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Northwestern University and a B.S. in Chemistry from Iowa State University. He completed Post-Doctoral studies at MIT.
