Mr. Allen F. Grum, also known as Pete, has been the Chief Executive Officer, President and Director of Rand Capital Corporation since January 1996. Mr. Grum has been employed with Rand Capital Corp. since 1995. He oversees Rand Capital's investment activities and takes an active role in the investment process from deal sourcing to fund marketing. He is a Principal at Rand Capital SBIC, L.P. Mr. Grum served as a Senior Vice President at Rand Capital Corporation since June 1995. Previously, he was employed in the banking and mortgage banking industries. From 1994 to 1995, he served as an Executive Vice President at Hamilton Financial Corporation and from 1991 to 1994, he served as the Senior Vice President at Marine Midland Mortgage Corporation. He serves as the Chairman of Health Management Group Board. He serves as a Director of ARIA Wireless Systems Inc., and SocialFlow, Inc. He serves as a Director of 43North since February 11, 2015. He also serves on the Boards of Directors of a number of companies in which Rand Capital Corporation has an investment. Mr. Grum served as a Director of SOMS Technologies LLC. He served as a Director of Horizon Health Services, Inc. He is a seasoned financial services executive with over 20 years of experience with financial services organizations. Mr. Grum also oversees the 43 North competition. He holds an M.B.A. from Rochester Institute of Technology and a B.A. in Economics from Eisenhower College.

Ms. Margaret Whalen Brechtel is the Vice President of Finance at Rand Capital Corporation. Ms. Brechtel has been employed with Rand Capital Corporationsince 2002. Ms. Brechtel is responsible for regulatory compliance and financial reporting. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Brechtel served at Cellular One as the Operations and Finance Manager. She also served at KPMG LLP in its audit practice. She has 25 years experience in the finance and accounting service industry. Ms. Brechtel is a C.P.A. in the state of New York. She holds an M.B.A. and a B.Sc. from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
