Dr. James Walsh, also known as Jim, Ph.D., has been an Executive Director of Trinity Biotech PLC since 2007 and serves as its Business Development Director. Dr. Walsh served as Chief Executive Officer of Stokes Bio Ltd., since February 2007 and serves as a Member of its Management Board. He served as the Chief Scientific Officer of Trinity Biotech Plc since October 2010 until April 2015. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Biosensia Ltd. He has 25 years general management experience in the healthcare industry with particular experience in diagnostics. He has decades of broad experience in the biotech industry. Dr. Walsh served as the Chief Operating Officer of Trinity Biotech Plc from October 1995 to November 2007. He served as a Managing Director of Cambridge Diagnostics Ireland Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Inverness Medical Innovations Inc. Before Cambridge Diagnostics Ireland Limited, he served at Fleming GmbH as R&D Manager. He serves as Executive Chairman of GenCell Biosystems Ltd., and Biosensia Ltd. He serves as a Non Executive Director of Biocro??? Limited. He serves as a Non-Executive Director at Crescent Diagnostics (Ireland) Ltd. Dr. Walsh has been a Non Executive Director of BioCurex Inc., since September 2009. He also holds Non-Executive Director positions with a number of early stage companies in the areas of micro-fluidics and molecular biology. Dr. Walsh serves as a Member of the Advisory Board of Kernel Capital Partners. He served as a Senior Independent Non-Executive Director of PuriCore PLC since March 29, 2012 and Independent Non-Executive Director from February 8, 2013 to June 27, 2013. He served as a Non-Executive Director of Biosensia Ltd. He served as an Independent Non-Executive Director of PuriCore PLC from September 13, 2006 to July 2010. Dr. Walsh holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology and Degree in Biochemistry from University College, Galway. He graduated from the National University of Ireland and holds a Doctorate in Inorganic Chemistry and Post Doctorate qualifications in Immunochemistry.
