Mr. Richard M. Adams, also known as Rick, serves as the Chief Executive Officer and President of West Virginia & Ohio Franchises of United Bank (Parkersburg, WV). Mr. Adams serves as the Chief Executive Officer of United Bank (WV). Mr. Adams has been the Chief Executive Officer of United Bankshares, Inc. since 1984. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of The Parkersburg National Bank (PNB), the predecessor to United, from 1975 to 1984. He serves as the Chairman of United Bank (wv). He has been the Chairman and Director of United Bank (WV) and United Bankshares, Inc. since 1984. He served as Chairman of the Board of PNB from 1976 to 1984. Mr. Adams has worked in the banking industry for more than 40 years and has successfully served as the Company's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for 38 years. Mr. Adams has the experience and expertise necessary to understand the opportunities and challenges facing the Company and he possesses the requisite leadership and management skills to promote and execute the Company's values and strategy. Mr. Adams is very familiar with the Company's business, industry, regulatory requirements and markets.

Mr. Craige Smith has been an Executive Vice President of United Bankshares Inc. since July 27, 2010 and its Chief Administrative and Information Officer since 2015. Mr. Smith serves as a Executive Vice-President of United Bank (VA). Mr. Smith served as the Chief Operating Officer of United Bank (Va) since 2006. Mr. Smith joined United Bank in 2000 as a Senior Vice President and Operations Director. He was promoted to an Executive Vice President of United Bank in 2004.

Mr. W. Mark Tatterson has been the Chief Financial Officer of United Bankshares, Inc. and its subsidiary, United Bank, Inc. (also known as United Bank (WV)) since January 01, 2015. Mr. Tatterson has been an Executive Vice President of United Bankshares Inc. since November 9, 2011 and has been its Secretary and Treasurer since 2015. He served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Centra Financial Holdings Inc. He served as Chief Information Officer with the WVU Foundation and Senior Manager with Ernst &Young LLP.

Mr. Douglas Bryon Ernest has been a Chief Credit Officer at United Bankshares Inc. since 2015.
