Local teams are fantastic - until middle and upper management. The management - especially executive teams aren't properly focused on issues that truly make a difference and will support positive change to the organization.
Specific co-workers can poison the entire work-experience for everyone. That is occurring lately. Because there are no specific position descriptions it allows employees to "cowboy" projects decide themselves what they'd like to spend their time doing - rather that supporting the whole team.
