Mr. Donald J. Gogel, also known as Don, J.D. has been the Chief Executive Officer of Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, Inc. (CD&R) since 1998, President since January 1997 and Chairman since 2012. Mr. Gogel served as a Principal at Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, Inc. since February 1989. Over his 27 years at Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, Inc., Mr. Gogel led many of the firm's investments including the acquisitions and subsequent transformations of large non-strategic divisions from major corporations. He plays an active role in shaping the Firm's strategy, recruiting talent, sourcing new investment opportunities, negotiating transactions and helping to lead key internal processes, including Portfolio Company Operating Reviews and Portfolio Company CEO Roundtables. He served in a number of important roles within Clayton, Dubilier & Rice's portfolio, including Interim Chief Executive Officer of Kinko's, Inc. Prior to Clayton, Dubilier & Rice, Inc., he was a Partner at McKinsey & Company Inc. and a Managing Director at Kidder, Peabody & Company, Inc., and of Kidder Peabody Group Inc. He serves as the Chairman of the SeriousFun Children's Network. Mr. Gogel serves as a Vice Chairman of the Cancer Research Institute, Inc. and Senior Vice Chairman of The Mount Sinai Medical Center. He serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Rhodes Trust. He serves as Trustee at The Mount Sinai Hospital. Mr. Gogel has been a Director of Global Decisions Group, LLC. He serves as a member of the Dean's Council of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University. He has served in a number of important roles within CD&R's portfolio including a Director of Alliant Foods, Allison Engine, Jafra and Van Kampen and Lexmark. Mr. Gogel served as a Director of Sally Beauty Holdings Inc., at Sally Holdings LLC since November 2006 until April 24, 2008. He served as a Director of CDRJ Investments (lux) SA, Jafra Worldwide Holdings Lux Sarl and Jafra SA. since January 1998. He served as a Director of APS Holding Corporation.
