Mr. Mark J. Levine serves as the Managing Director and Managing Partner of Core Capital Partners. Mr. Levine serves as Managing Director and Managing Partner of Minotaur Fund, The. Mr. Levine joined Core Capital Partners in 2000. Prior to joining Core Capital Partners, Mr. Levine served as a Managing Member of GCI Venture Partners LLC and was responsible for the day-to-day operation of the fund, deal flow and review, due diligence and post-investment management of the partnership's portfolio. From 1985 to 2000, he served as an Executive Officer of Geo-Centers, Inc. and was responsible for corporate development, strategic planning, acquisition search and analysis, government and industry relations, management of the firm's intellectual property portfolio, licenses and joint ventures, investment banking relationships, new business development and senior executive recruitment. From 1979 to 1985, he served as a Subcommittee Staff Director of the Small Business Committee in the United States House of Representatives. Mr. Levine managed the staff and legislative agenda for the subcommittee with jurisdiction over federal procurement (civil and defense), science and technology policy, billion dollar loan and assistance programs, environmental compliance regulations, antitrust and competitiveness policies and minority business programs. He was involved in several successful legislative and regulatory initiatives including The Small Business Innovation Development Act (SBIR), the Small Business and University Patent Act, The Competition in Contracting Act (CICA), The Prompt Payment Act, the Regulatory Flexibility Act and numerous amendments to the DoD, EPA, NIH, SBA and DoE Authorization bills. He serves as Vice Chairman of the Professional Services Council. He serves as a Director of UpdateLogic, Inc. He serves as a Director of buySAFE, Inc., Univa inc (AKA Univa Corporation), Valen Technologies, Inc., Viaken Systems, Sentit0 Networks, RF Technologies, Claragen, Nextone and Geo-Centers, Inc. He serves as a Member of Board of Advisors of Staq.com, Inc. Mr. Levine also serves as a Director and on the Board of Trustees at The Mid-Atlantic Venture Association. He serves on the Boards of Trustees of the Maret School and Temple Sinai. Mr. Levine serves on the Board of Advisors of the GWU Business School and the Advisory Board of Marshfield Associates. His civic and business activities include Board of Advisors of the George Washington University Business School and the Dingman Center (University of Maryland). He served as a Director of InPhonic Inc. since August 2001. He served as a Member of the Board of Directors of MedVentive Inc., and Clareos, Inc. He served as a Director of VocalData, Inc and sentitO Networks, Inc. He served as a Board Observer of Roundbox, Inc. He served as a Director of FreedomPay, Inc. since March 13, 2007. Mr. Levine received an M.B.A. in Finance from George Washington University in 1978. He holds a B.A. from Northeastern University.
