How are layoffs handled in the Engineering department at High Fidelity?
As far as I know there have not been any (not yet anyway). Some individuals have left the company, but I know of no engineer that has done so involuntarily.
What benefits does High Fidelity provide?
Health insurance, vision and dental. The Seattle and San Francisco offices both include a kitchen with a stocked fridge and plenty of free food. They've recently begin offering Orca passes to the Seattle employees for free commuting on public transit. A yearly holiday party in SF includes travel for remote employees and their partners.
