Mr. Edward J. Fritsch, also known as Ed, has been the Chief Executive Officer at Highwoods Properties, Inc. since July 1, 2004 and as its President since December 2003. Mr. Fritsch joined Highwoods Properties, Inc. in 1982. Mr. Fritsch has been an Independent Director of National Retail Properties, Inc. since February 9, 2012. He serves as a Director of Capital Associated Industries, Inc. He has been a Director of Highwoods Properties Inc. since January 2001. He serves as a Member of Wells Fargo & Company's Central Regional Advisory Board. He is also a Member of Board of Governors and Immediate Past Chair of the University Of North Carolina Board of Visitors. Mr. Fritsch serves as a Trustee of Ravenscroft School Inc. He is a Member of the Steering Committee of Raleigh Diocesan Cathedral Campus Project. Mr. Fritsch serves as Director and immediate past President of The Young Men's Christian Association Of The Triangle Area Inc. He serves as Board of Trustees of St. Timothy's Episcopal School. He serves as a Member of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Foundation Board and Director of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Real Estate Holdings. Mr. Fritsch served as the Chairman of the University Of North Carolina Board of Visitors. He served as a Trustee of the North Carolina Symphony Soc Inc until September 2011. Mr. Fritsch received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Mr. Daniel L. Clemmens, also known as Dan, CPA, has been the Chief Accounting Officer and a Vice President of Highwoods Properties, Inc. since August 13, 2007. Mr. Clemmens is responsible for managing the Accounting Department and overseeing all aspects of internal and external financial reporting. Mr. Clemmens served as a Senior Manager of Ernst & Young LLP in Atlanta where he has worked for 13 years. He has extensive experience in the real estate industry, having led Ernst & Young's outside audit engagement team focusing on a variety of public REITs. Mr. Clemmens consulted with the principal E&Y engagement partner with respect to Highwoods beginning in late 2004 and served as Senior Manager of E&Y's engagement team for its 2004 audit of its financial statements. Mr. Clemmens is a Graduate of Arizona State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Mr. Jeffrey D. Miller, also known as Jeff, J.D., has been Secretary and General Counsel at Highwoods Properties, Inc. since March 23, 2007 and its Executive Vice President since January 26, 2017. Mr. Miller served as a Senior Vice President of Highwoods Properties Inc., until January 26, 2017 and served as its Vice President. Mr. Miller joined Highwoods in 2007. Prior to joining Highwoods, he concentrated his practice on securities, corporate governance and related strategic matters and served as general outside counsel to a variety of publicly-traded REITs, including Highwoods. Previously, he was a Partner at a law firm of DLA Piper US LLP. Prior to this, was a Partner at Alston & Bird LLP. He has concentrated his practice on mergers and acquisitions, securities and related strategic matters. He regularly represents public REITs and telecommunications companies in merger and acquisition transactions and securities offerings, having worked on over 40 significant transactions with an aggregate deal value in excess of $15 billion. He served as an Independent Director of Hatteras Financial Corp since November 2007 until July 12, 2016 and served as its Lead Independent Director since September 2009 until July 12, 2016. Mr. Miller has authored several articles and participated on panels involving corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions and securities law topics. Mr. Miller received a B.A. from Pennsylvania State University, an M.B.A. from Wake Forest University and a J.D.

Mr. Theodore J. Klinck, also known as Ted, has been the Chief Operating and Investment Officer and Executive Vice President of Highwoods Properties, Inc. since September 1, 2015 and September 16, 2015 respectively. Mr. Klinck served as the Chief Investment Officer of Highwoods Properties Inc. since February 29, 2012 and serves as its Senior Vice President until September 16, 2015. Mr. Klinck has been the Chief Operating Officer of Highwoods Properties since August 31, 2015. His 24 years of real estate investment experience include two years as Principal and Chief Investment Officer of Goddard Investment Group in Atlanta. He served as a Vice President of Highwoods Properties Inc. He served as Managing Director of Morgan Stanley since December 2005 and also served as its Head of Acquisitions for U.S. real estate investing business. Mr. Klinck received a BBA in Finance and Real Estate from Southern Methodist University and a M.B.A. in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Georgia.

Brendan Maiorana serves as the VP of Finance and IR of Highwoods Properties. Brendan started at Highwoods Properties in May of 2016. Brendan currently resides in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina Area.
