Prior to joining Alventive, he served as the Chief Financial Officer, Interim Chief Executive Officer and Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration at Beyond.com from 1999 to 2000. He served as Vice President of Finance and Operations at Synopsys, Inc., one of the largest EDA software companies in the world, from 1998 to 1999 and Vice President and Corporate Controller of Heartport, Inc. from 1996 to 1998. Mr. Neely has a strong record of achievement in the new technologies and software industries. He was instrumental in managing rapidly growing technology companies like AMD, Synopsys and Heartport. In 2002, He was successful in assisting a software company in closing its B round and in obtaining a $650M bank mandate for a loan consortium for a wafer foundry start-up based in Germany. He led it through a re-structuring process that reduced spending by $12M per quarter while building a new core revenue stream. He managed both finance and operations groups totaling 160 employees, including all business units and world-wide sales subsidiaries. He had additional responsibilities as a Member of the Investor Relations team, giving analyst guidance, participating in quarterly conference calls and road shows and presenting at investment bank conferences. He spent almost 16 years with Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
