Todd Sears is the President and Publisher of the Omaha World-Herald, a BH Media Group newspaper. Raised in Crete, Neb., Mr. Sears graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. He began his career at the Lincoln Journal Star, a newspaper owned by Lee Enterprises. Over the next 20 years, he held a variety of management positions with Lee operations in Beatrice, Neb., Lincoln, Neb., Racine, Wis., and Madison, Wis. Mr. Sears first joined BH Media Group in 2013 and served in senior advertising management positions in Atlantic City, N.J., and Richmond, Va. In 2016, he moved to GateHouse Media, serving as President and Publisher of the State Journal-Register in Springfield, Ill. He returned to BH Media Group in 2018 when was named the President and Publisher of the Omaha World-Herald. Mr. Sears has served his local community through various organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lincoln, Neb., United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, Joey’s Song in Madison, Wis., The Road Home in Madison, Wis., Friend In Deed in Springfield, Ill., Goodfellows in Omaha, Neb., the Chamber of Commerce in Springfield, Ill. and Omaha, Neb., and the Illinois Press Association.
