Mr. John Simard is the Founder of XBiotech, Inc. and serves as its Chairman and has been its Chief Executive Officer and President since March 2005. Mr. Simard serves as the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of XBiotech USA, Inc. Mr. Simard founded CTL ImmunoTherapies Corp. and served as its Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Simard was Founder of AlleCure Corp., of Valencia, California. Mr. Simard served as Corporate Vice President at MannKind Corp. Mr. Simard has invented several core technologies that formed the basis for commercialization programs. Operationally, he has championed an integrated approach to drug development, undertaking R&D, pre-clinical development, manufacturing and clinical regulatory programs under one roof - which he has used as an effective means to conserve capital and control timelines. He has been a Director at Xbiotech Inc since March 2005. He served as a Director of MannKind Corp. He has more than 140 issued and pending patents related to cancer therapy, therapeutic antibodies and vaccines, as well as substantial peer-reviewed scientific publications and co-authored the textbook Handbook of Immune Response Genes (Plenum Publishers 1998). Mr. Simard attended graduate studies in Medical Biophysics/Immunology at the University of Toronto and has a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Saskatchewan.

Ms. Queena Han, B.A., CPA, C.G.A. serves as Vice President of Finance & Human Resources at XBiotech USA, Inc and has been its Secretary since July 27, 2016. Ms. Han has been the Vice President of Finance & Human Resources and Secretary of XBiotech, Inc. since June 2012. She is responsible for financial planning and budgeting, reporting, auditing, taxation, internal control, insurance, legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions and maintenance of cash flow position. She serves as a liaison among directors, investors and XBiotech. She is also responsible for all aspects of Human Resources within XBiotech. She has been responsible for XBiotech's accounting, auditing and budgeting since 2005 when it was incorporated in Vancouver, Canada. Ms. Han has over 20 years experience in accounting and finance and has held several executive positions. She played an important role working with others to build XBiotech in the U.S. Ms. Han joined XBiotech in April 2008 as its Controller. Prior to joining XBiotech, she served as Chief Financial Officer and Controller of Canada Payphone Corporation. She is a professional member of SHRM. She holds the Certified Professional Accountants designation in Canada. She holds the Human Resource Management Certification from the University of Texas at Austin. Ms. Han has a B.A in accounting.

Dr. Michael Stecher, M.D. has been Medical Director at XBiotech USA, Inc., and XBiotech, Inc. since June 2010. Dr. Stecher oversees XBiotech's in-house clinical regulatory department which implements and monitors all clinical trial programs. In 2010, Dr. Stecher joined XBiotech and is the principle medical expert overseeing the clinical trial program. He is in charge of all reporting to the FDA and other regulatory agencies and providing medical oversight for all clinical trials. Dr. Stecher has worked to develop XBiotech's clinical program to treat chronic inflammatory diseases through targeting the interleukin-1 system, collaborating with key opinion leaders in fields of endocrinology, oncology, cardiovascular medicine and dermatology. Dr. Stecher started with XBiotech in December 2009 as a Medical Safety Officer. He served as the Chief Resident of Family Medicine at Brackenridge Hospital. Dr. Stecher is board certified in Family Medicine and practiced medicine in the Austin area for 6 years prior to joining XBiotech. He completed his family practice training in Austin at Brackenridge Hospital (Austin Medical Education Program). Dr. Stecher is a graduate from the University of Kansas School of Medicine.

Dr. Sushma Shivaswamy, Ph.D. has been Chief Scientific Officer at XBiotech Inc. since November 20, 2017. Dr. Shivaswamy served as Vice President of Research and Development at XBiotech Inc. from June 2015 to November 20, 2017. Dr. Shivaswamy served as Director of Research and Development at XBiotech USA, Inc. Dr. Shivaswamy joined XBiotech in 2009 as a senior research scientist and quickly advanced to lead the research and development. Dr. Shivaswamy has lead XBiotech in the development of new approaches for screening human blood for novel True Human??? antibodies based on super-high-stringency mining technology. She has also led XBiotech to establish the its new molecular cloning and proteomics strategies for identifying the True Human??? therapeutics. Dr. Shivaswamy's program has also included development of the high-output manufacturing cell lines, for producing antibodies in mammalian cells for large-scale commercial production. Dr. Shivaswamy has an academic background in regulation of eukaryotic gene expression and is an expert in molecular genetics. Prior to joining XBiotech, Dr. Shivaswamy was a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Systems and Synthetic Biology at the University of Texas at Austin. She has a Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology from the Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology, India.

Sushma Shivaswamy serves as the Chief Scientific Officer of XBiotech USA, Inc.. Sushma started at XBiotech USA, Inc. in November of 2017. Sushma currently resides in Austin, Texas Area.
