
First, I would offer sick days. This would give the associates the chance to take mental health breaks if needed. Particularly with call center associates, the stress of being on the phones all the time can be extremely devastating to mental health. It is important for those associates to have periodic breaks. Second, I would open the culture of face to face communication between management and associates. It is very important for people to feel valued, and the lack of involvement from the higher ups makes you feel like just a number. Third, I would make it so that team leads are required to have meetings every week with their teams and are held accountable if they do not.
Focus more on the pets and less on the number of pets we are required to see. Look at the quality of care, not the number of pets seen. Provide more training for new DVMs and more mentorship.
